WORKSHOP ON TANJORE PAINTING 05 December 2023
The unique Tanjore painting style is globally acclaimed for its way of creating a threedimensional effect using gesso work and precious stones. Initially, the painting style was practiced by only two communities: the Naidu’s and Rajus. Tanjore Painting is the only painting to have emboss on it. The other feature is the Real Gold Foil used to stick on the EMBOSSED areas - 22 carat gold foil is used.
The Sansthan in collaboration with Pidilite -Fevicryl organised a workshop on Tanjore paintings for the benefit of our students on 05 Dec 23 in the auditorium. The students learnt the art with deep interest and creativity. The organisers provided the material to our students and also taught the step wise art of Tanjore Painting.
