A workshop on Crochet Art was organized for the students by Mrs. Neeru today in the conference
hall. The session aimed to introduce students to the creative and skillful art of crochet making and
to enhance their understanding of handmade textile crafts.Mrs. Neeru, an expert in crochet and
handicrafts, began the session by explaining the history and basic techniques of crochet.
She demonstrated various types of stitches such as chain stitch, single crochet, and double
crochet, using colorful threads and hooks. Students enthusiastically participated, trying their
hands on small crochet patterns under her guidance.
The workshop encouraged students to express creativity through yarn, color combinations, and
texture usage. Mrs. Neeru also displayed some of her exquisite handmade items, including doilies,
keychains and decorative pieces, inspiring students to take up crochet as a hobby or potential
business skill. The workshop was highly appreciated for being both instructive and engaging. It
successfully developed the students’ interest in traditional crafts and boosted their confidence in
creative designing.
