The lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) was conducted by
Mr. Saud Ahmed. It provided a comprehensive overview of the core concepts,
applications, and advancements in this evolving field. Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to
the ability of machines to mimic human intelligence, enabling them to perform tasks
such as learning, reasoning, and problem-solving. AI applications are widely used in
virtual assistants, robotics, and smart systems.
Machine Learning (ML), a subset of AI, focuses on enabling systems to learn from data
and improve over time without explicit programming. The lecture highlighted the main
types of ML: Supervised Learning (using labeled data), Unsupervised Learning (using
unlabeled data), Semi-supervised Learning (combination of both), and Reinforcement
Learning (learning through rewards and penalties).
An important application of ML discussed was image processing, which involves
analyzing and manipulating digital images. Techniques like feature extraction, filtering,
and classification are used in various real-world applications such as facial recognition,
medical imaging, and autonomous driving. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are
widely used for accurate image recognition.Overall, the lecture emphasized the growing
importance of AIML in modern technology, encouraging students to explore its vast
potential and practical implementations.
