November 9, is marked as the 23rd Foundation Day of Uttarakhand. This day in 2000 marked the division of Uttar Pradesh into the new state of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is popularly known as the "Land of the Gods" or "Dev Bhumi”. Uttarakhand broke away from Uttar Pradesh to become the 27th state of India. It was referred to as Uttaranchal during the time. It was formally renamed Uttarakhand from Uttaranchal in 2007.
To celebrate the STHAPANA DIWAS of Uttarakhand, the Sansthan organised a patriotic program in collaboration with the Sanskar Pariwar, Dev Bhoomi Trust. Shri Rajesh Semwal who is an Ex-Serviceman and is closely associated with the Vande Matram training and Education Foundation, Purola, Uttarkashi and his boys will put forward a patriotic presentation along with Acharya Bipin Joshi. Padmashri Dr. Madhuri Barthwal, our G.B.member also graced the occasion.
