The Sansthan organized the annual Orientation Program aimed at welcoming new students and acquainting them with various aspects of college life. The event was designed to provide essential information, foster a sense of togetherness, and ensure a smooth transition into academic and social life at the college.
The Orientation program saw an impressive turnout with nearly 90 First Year students various disciplines. The faculty members and administrative staff participated to facilitate the smooth running of the event.
The programme commenced at 9:30 AM in the college auditorium with a welcome address by the PrincipalMrs. Namita Mamgain. The principal emphasized the college's commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and inclusive group spirit. The programme included:
1. Class room appraisal
2. Distribution of identity cards.
3. Campus visit
4. Distribution of library cards.
Mrs. Beena Raikwar familiarized students with campus facilities such as libraries, laboratories, computer centers, sports complexes, and student support services and aimed to ensure that students were aware of the resources available for their academic and personal growth. Students were introduced to college policies, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures to ensure that students understood their responsibilities and the expected behavior within the college premises. Throughout the programme, interactive sessions were conducted to address queries from students.
The Orientation Programme concluded with a closing address by thevice principal Mrs. Anupama Uniyal who reiterated the college's commitment to providing a nurturing environment for learning and personal development.
In conclusion, the Orientation Programme of 25th July 2024 served as a crucial introduction to college life for new students, equipping them with essential information and fostering a sense of belonging within the college.
