ORIENTATION DAY AT B S NEGI MPPS

The Orientation Day for newly admitted students at B S Negi Mahila Pravidhik Prashikshan Sansthan (BS Negi MPPS) was held on 20th August 2025. The event aimed to warmly welcome the newcomers and familiarize them with the institute’s academic structure, campus facilities, faculty, rules, and the wide range of opportunities available to them. It was organized to ensure a smooth transition from school to college life and to help students feel a sense of belonging from the very beginning. Objectives of the Orientation
The primary goals of the orientation were:

• To welcome and integrate new students into the BS Negi MPPS community
• To introduce the institution's values, code of conduct, and academic expectations
• To present key departments, faculty members, and student support services
• To encourage participation in academic and extracurricular activities Event Highlights

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Principal Mrs. Namita Mamgain, who shared the vision, mission, and legacy of BS Negi MPPS. This was followed by the introduction of Heads of Departments, faculty members, office, and support staff.
Ms. Poonam Bhandari led an informative session on the Code of Conduct and Anti-Ragging Policy, during which students were also briefed on the institute’s internal complaint and grievance redressal mechanisms. She also conducted the Academic and Examination briefing, explaining the semester system, internal assessments, attendance policy, and examination procedures. Special emphasis was placed on regularity, punctuality, and academic integrity.
Students were then introduced to various extracurricular opportunities through a brief overview of the Cultural Club, Sports Club, and NSS, with encouragement to get involved and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Following the sessions, students visited the Library, where they received their library cards and were introduced to the library rules and available resources. Conclusion
The Orientation Day was a great success, leaving students feeling confident, informed, and excited about their journey at BS Negi MPPS. The day concluded with light refreshments and group photo sessions, marking a positive start to the academic year.
