The NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN is a grassroots movement initiated by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (Govt. of India) to raise awareness about reducing drug demand in India. Various activities falling under the umbrella of NMBA (Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan) have been rolled out nationwide, engaging youth, children, educational institutions, women, and communities. The primary objective of NMBA is to sensitize and equip hostel students, teachers, parents, and others through a sustainable action plan.
Under the aegis of AICTE , B S Negi MPPS, a sansthan which is dedicated to upholding the campaign's principles, a sincere pledge was taken on August 13, 2024, with the active participation of every student, staff member, and the Santhan’s Principal. The commitment was resolute in eradicating the drug menace, particularly focusing on hostels and educational settings.
The increasing threat of substance abuse, especially among the youth, emphasizes the urgency for more such campaigns that involve every member of society in uprooting the drug issue. A robust and drug-free youth populace not only ensures personal well-being but also contributes to building a healthier and stronger nation.
