MARKET SURVEY BY TEXTILE DEPARTMENT

Introduction
The Textile Department of BS Negi MPPS Institute organized a market survey for all three-year students to expose them to local vendors of color, dye, fabric, and stationery items. The objective was to familiarize students with available materials and resources for their assignments and projects. Students visited local markets and interacted with vendors selling various textiles, dyes, colors, and stationery. They were introduced to different types of fabrics, including traditional handloom fabrics.

Findings:

Students explored a variety of fabrics, including cotton, silk, and traditional handloom materials.

They were introduced to local vendors of dyes and colors, learning about different types and applications.

Stationery items relevant to textile design and projects were also surveyed.

Outcomes
