INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO GEO-DATA PROCESSING

The Industrial visit is a hands-on experience for the students of skill-based courses in real life situations. The students of Bsc.IT, PGDCA and MOM & SP Department went on an educational industrial visit to GEOPIC (Geo- data processing & interpretation center) a division of ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) located in Dehradun along with the faculty members. The visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into the workings of a real-world industrial environment and enhance their understanding of the theoretical concepts learnt in the classroom.

Key highlights of the visit include:

• Understanding Safety Protocols-In the starting of the program, they told us about the safety process of the theatre room. where they taught us about the working of the industry.
• Discussion on Technologies and Innovation- The students learnt about Data Processing, Data Interpretation, Major specification of HPCC, Data Integration and visualization.
• Interaction with Industry Professionals -The students had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, including engineers, technicians, and managers, who shared their experiences and expertise in the field.

Knowledge Enhancement: The students were able to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, thereby bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practices.

Conclusion: Overall, the industrial visit through college was a valuable learning experience for all participants. It offered students a unique opportunity to witness the inner workings of an industrial setup and gain practical insights that will benefit them in their academic and professional journey.
