INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO GENERAL POST OFFICE BY MOM & SP DEPARTMENT 13 October 2023
Industrial visits are usually the first point of interaction between a student and a live working industry. The learning outcome of the industrial visit is “Education–Exposure– Experience.” B S Negi MPPS planned and organised an Industrial Visit for the students of Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practice on 13 Oct 23 to the General Post Office, Dehradun.
Mr. Tegamber Singh Gusain (Senior Post Master) was instrumental in making the necessary arrangements for the Industrial visit so that the students may get hands on exposure of Post Office working and to inform the students about facilities provided by the Post Office. Mr. Vaibhav (Postal Assistant) and Mr. Yovan Gupta (Postal Assistant) were the In-Charge of the visit, who gave the full tour of the Post Office and explained everything in detail. The students had an enriching experience and learnt about:-
My stamp, Postal Order, Registered Post, Speed Post, Post Bag/Box, Saving SchemesPost Office Online Service, Philately, Parcel, PMA (Postman Mobile App) Bulk Dak , Indian Post Payment Bank, Sale of Ganga Jal etc.
The Industrial Visit to the GPO was very knowledgeable and helpful for the students.
