The spirit of patriotism was palpable in the air as B.S. Negi MPPS celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and national pride. The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by the esteemed Principal, Mrs. Namita Mamgain. As the Tricolour unfurled gracefully in the morning breeze, it was followed by the resonant notes of the National Anthem sung in unison by students and staff, filling every heart with a sense of belonging and reverence for the nation.The program continued with a series of patriotic songs performed by the students, their melodious voices stirring the soul and igniting a sense of deep love for the motherland. Each performance reflected the sacrifices made by countless brave hearts who laid down their lives for India’s freedom.Two students, Vishu and Gurmehar, came forward to share their heartfelt thoughts on the significance of Independence Day. Though spoken simply, their expressions echoed a heartfelt reverence for the nation’s rich legacy and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.The highlight of the event was the inspiring address by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Anupama Uniyal, who enlightened the gathering with the true essence of freedom. She urged everyone to not just cherish independence, but to protect it through unity, education, and integrity—reminding all of their duty in shaping a stronger, brighter India.As part of the grand Independence Day celebrations held at Ambedkar Stadium under the aegis of ONGC, the Sansthan’s platoon proudly participated in the ceremonial parade. Among the numerous contingents present, our platoon was honoured with the Best Platoon Award in the Non- Force Category, showcasing discipline, coordination, and dedication.Led by Platoon Commander Ms. Shivani Bisht, the contingent demonstrated remarkable precision and spirit. Additionally, Ms. Saloni Chaudhary, a student of B.Sc. IT, was awarded the Best Turnout Trophy for her exemplary presentation and appearance.The parade was graced by the presence of Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Chairman of ONGC who reviewed the march and took the salute as the chief guest of the event.The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and a collective vow to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress. It was a day of remembrance, reflection, and rededication to the ideals that our country stands for.
