The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated religiously throughout the Country on the 15th of August every year, holds tremendous ground in the list of national days, since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years. India's gaining of independence was a tryst with destiny, as the struggle for freedom was a long and tiresome one, witnessing the sacrifices of many freedom fighters, who laid down their lives on the line.
Independence Day, 15th Aug, a day which brings back the memories of all the freedom fighters who gave their lives so that we can breathe the fresh air of freedom. It is only when we look around that we feel, realize and appreciate the value of living in a free, secular country.
At BS NEGI MPPS, the feeling of being a true patriot was very evident as all the students, staff , Governing body members and Principal participated in the Independence Day celebration with great fervor and enthusiasm. The Parade commander took charge of the platoon and the parade. The flag was hoisted by Sh. H M Joshi , which was followed by the National Anthem and a patriotic song, “Saare Jahan se Acha”……..it was a moment of great pride for all. The speeches given by Joshi sir and Principal, Mrs Namita Mamgain highlighted the importance of each one realizing their dreams , simultaneously contributing to Nation building. Both appreciated the hard work of the staff and the students in the growth and development of the sansthan.
A proud moment for the sansthan as the Polytechnic platoon was adjudged the best platoon in the non forces category.
