Harela is a festival celebrated in the Shravan month of the Hindu Calendar and marks the advent of rainy season. It also commemorates the wedding of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Harela signifies peace, prosperity, greenery and environmental protection.
To pay our reverence to Mother Earth, the Sansthan had celebrated Harela festival in the campus. Our Chairman, Principal and Governing Body members graced the occasion with their presence and planted the saplings in the campus.
Padmashri Dr. Madhuri Barthwal and her troupe sang the Harela and Jhumelo folk songs and presented a beautiful folk-dance sequence. The students joined the troupe in the group dance. The students, teachers and staff members learned the relevance of this holy festival of nature and pledged to plant saplings to save the environment.
