The Harela celebration, which symbolizes peace, prosperity, and greenery, is a rich tradition with profound cultural and environmental significance. At B S Negi MPPS, we are deeply committed to not only preserving these values but also instilling and encouraging our students to remain strongly rooted in our rich cultural heritage.
On the beautiful morning of August 6th, 2024, our students and staff came together to celebrate Harela, showing reverence for the abundant blessings in their lives and seeking divine blessings for continued prosperity. In the spirit of this festival, which honors the divine for bountiful crops and overall well-being, we were graced by the presence of the legendary Uttarakhand singer, Padmashri Dr. Madhuri Barthwal. Accompanied by her troupe, she filled the atmosphere with festive cheer as they performed chorus songs, invoking blessings not only for our institution but also for everyone present.
The enthusiasm of the students was palpable as they eagerly participated in the event, especially when joining in the chorus with our beloved Madhuri Didi and her troupe. The celebration marked the start of a day filled with joy, gratitude, and a collective hope for goodness and prosperity for all.
The Harela festival at B S Negi MPPS was a memorable event, highlighting our dedication to cultural values and the importance of community and gratitude.
