The excursion cum fun trip for interior design students, accompanied by three teachers, was an enriching experience exploring various architectural marvels and design inspirations. The journey took us through remarkable destinations, providing insights into diverse design elements and facilities.
1. Pacific Golf Estate : Our first stop was the expansive Pacific Golf Estate, a lush haven showcasing an array of amenities. Students were enthralled by the vast expanse and meticulous layout of the estate. They were guided through facilities such as the gym, swimming pool, library, and salon, while also witnessing the efficient water supply and drainage systems. The highlight was the magnificent golf course, sparking keen interest in architectural details like wall treatments and flooring.
2. Hyatt Regency Hotel: Nestled amidst the greens of Dehradun valley, the Hyatt Regency Hotel offered a luxurious retreat. Students were escorted by courteous staff through the property's seven floors, marvelling at the sky deck swimming pool and spa. The serene ambiance of the surrounding Doon Valley resonated in the intricate ceiling treatments and flooring patterns. Interactions with the staff provided valuable insights into hospitality design.
3. Max Antara Senior Citizen Living Complex : Spanning over 14 acres, the Max Antara Senior Citizen Living Complex exuded tranquillity and comfort. With seven towers of residences, a clubhouse, heated swimming pool, and various amenities, it epitomized serene living. Students indulged in healthy refreshments amidst the picturesque landscape, observing the seamless integration of design and functionality for senior citizens' well-being.
4. World Integrity Centre (WIC) : Our final destination was the World Integrity Centre (WIC), a subscription-based club showcasing a blend of old-world charm and contemporary design. Students explored the multilevel space, appreciating the themed interiors resonating with the aura of the Doon Valley. The tour highlighted the club's diverse facilities, offering insights into designing spaces for community engagement and leisure.
