B.S. Negi Mahila Pravidhik Prashikshan Sansthan observed Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to
18th August 2025 as per the directives of the All-India Council for Technical Education
(AICTE). The event aimed to promote awareness and ensure a ragging-free campus through a
series of educational and interactive activities. The inaugural ceremony marked the official
launch of the programme, setting a positive tone for the week’s events. Various competitions
such as slogan writing, essay writing, poster and logo designing, and debates were conducted,
engaging students creatively in the anti-ragging message.
Social media campaigns were run to spread awareness through posters, videos, and messages
highlighting the harmful effects of ragging. Awareness activities, including documentary
movies, and interactive sessions, further deepened students’ understanding of the importance
of respect and empathy in campus. In addition, screenings of anti-ragging short films and TV
programmes from www.antiragging.in were organized, followed by discussions to reinforce
the message. The week concluded with closing ceremony in which the winners of the various
competitions were awarded followed by the skit on 18th August 2025, led by Mrs. Anupama
uniyal and her team which encapsulated the learnings of the week and reaffirmed the
institute’s commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all.The Anti-
Ragging Week successfully inspired students to stand united against ragging, fostering a
campus atmosphere built on trust, dignity, and mutual respect.
