The
website-making competition among the BSC IT department of the college is an
engaging and dynamic event designed to showcase the department's technical and
creative skills. The competition invites students and faculty to design and
develop innovative websites that highlight the department’s academic programs,
research, projects, and achievements. It serves as a platform for participants
to demonstrate their proficiency in web design, coding, and user experience.
During the event,
participants are given specific criteria to focus on, such as website
functionality, visual design, responsiveness, and content relevance. Teams
within the IT department often collaborate to combine various skill sets,
including front-end and back-end development, graphic design, and content
writing. This not only promotes teamwork but also allows students to apply
their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. There were four teams in
this competition.
The websites are
evaluated based on factors like ease of navigation, creative use of design
elements, and the ability to effectively communicate the department’s
offerings. Additional points are given for innovation, interactivity, and
technical complexity.
At the conclusion of the competition, the best websites are awarded, and constructive feedback is provided for improvement. This competition encourages IT students to stay updated with the latest web technologies and helps build the department’s digital presence, all while enhancing the participants' web development skills.
