DONATION OF SANITARY NAPKINS & PINK TOILET BY DOON ROTARY SHIVALIK HILLS

In a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene and sanitation, Doon Rotary Shivalik Hills donated 3,600 sanitary pads and donated pink toilets at B.S. Negi Mahila Pravidhik Prashikshan Sansthan. This initiative aims to empower young girls and women by ensuring access to essential hygiene products and safe sanitation facilities.

Supporting Menstrual Hygiene

Menstrual hygiene remains a critical issue, especially in educational institutions where young girls often struggle due to a lack of awareness and resources. By distributing 3,600 sanitary pads, the Sansthan aims to provide a sustainable solution, to the young girls to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence. This initiative will also contribute to reducing absenteeism among female students, as many are forced to miss school due to inadequate hygiene facilities. These sanitary pads were duly distributed among the students of all the classes including all the students of the Sansthan.

Installation of Pink Toilets

Along with the sanitary pad donation, pink toilets have been donated to the Sansthan to provide a clean, private, and safe space for female students and staff. These specially designed toilets would cater to the specific needs of women and girls, addressing both hygiene and safety concerns. Proper sanitation facilities play a crucial role in promoting health, preventing infections, and ensuring overall well-being.
