Dr. Siddque Ahmed, Senior Scientist ( smarth and training division) and Director of the Central Silk Board, Bangalore, visited our institution today. He shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship programs and government initiatives for students pursuing vocational courses. His discussion also highlighted the vision of our Prime Minister to transform India into a developed nation by 2047 and the crucial role students can play in achieving this goal.
Dr. Ahmed elaborated on the Central Silk Board's initiatives, such as the Silk Samagra Scheme, aimed at developing the silk raising industry in India . He explained how this scheme focuses on improving and empowering deprived communities. The board has also established research institutions and training centers to promote silk production. He informed the students about Silk Samagra Scheme An integrated scheme for the development of the silk industry.
Dr. Ahmed emphasized the importance of students' contributions to achieving the Prime Minister's vision of a developed India by 2047. He encouraged students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities in the textile sectors using government initiatives and schemes.
