interactive session was organized for the students of Textile Design focusing
on National Hand loom Development Programs. The session aimed to create
awareness about India's rich hand loom heritage and government initiatives
supporting this sector. The event featured presentations, discussions, and a
Q&A session with industry experts and representatives from handloom

Chamoli highlighted key government programs, such as the National Hand loom
Development Program (NHDP), Handloom Weavers’ Comprehensive Welfare Scheme, and
the Marketing Promotion Program. They discussed how these programs empower
artisans through skill development, access to credit, and market exposure,
while also preserving traditional weaving techniques.
