CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP AT B. S. NEGI MPPS 21 OCTOBER 2024

An interactive talk on pictorial calligraphy was conducted at our Sansthan B. S. NEGI MPPS on 21.10.2024 by MS. Qamar Dagar, an eminent Indian calligrapher. Qamar Dagar is a pictorial calligrapher; she works in Hindi and Urdu scripts to create a visual language that is her very own.

She is the recipient of “Nari Shakti sammaan” the highest civilian award for women by the President of India. Women’s International Award and Pioneer Artist Award. The talk was organised by REACH under the VIRASAT HERITAGE Festival series. Principal MPPS Mrs. Namita Mamgain graced the occasion and welcomed the artist on the behalf of Sansthan.

Ms. Dagar featured her work during the talk and taught the techniques of Calligraphy to the students.Students tried their hands in creative writing and showed keen interest in her work.
