A workshop on
"Career Growth in Information Technology (IT) was recently conducted at
Himalayan Institute of Design & Technology , where the scope of job
opportunities in the IT sector was thoroughly discussed. The session
highlighted the rapid evolution of the industry and the growing demand for
professionals skilled in the latest technologies and software tools.
During the
seminar, the importance of programming languages such as Python, HTML, Java,
bootstrap etc. Was emphasized, with detailed explanations on how these are the
foundational blocks for many IT roles. The discussion extended to the
distinction between front-end and back-end development, where participants
learned how the front end focuses on user experience (UI/UX) and interface
design, while the back-end handles server-side operations, databases, and
application logic.
Sh. Ashok Kumar,
Software Trainer and Director, played a key role in the session. He stressed
that learning the latest technologies is critical, but training is equally
important as it provides practical knowledge, which is an integral part of any
IT course. He emphasized the need for hands-on experience through internships,
which serve as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and real-world
applications. Ashok Kumar further explained that students who complete their
training and internships successfully often find it easier to get placed in
well-established IT companies. The combination of technical expertise and
practical experience gained during training greatly enhances a candidate’s
employability, making them well-prepared to meet the challenges of the dynamic
IT landscape.
The session concluded with a positive outlook on the career growth opportunities in IT, particularly for those who stay updated with evolving technologies and actively participate in training and internships.
